A RE-ENVISIONED ANNUAL REPORT
BRANDING | EDITORIAL
APPLICATIONS: INDESIGN, ILLUSTRATOR

In my advanced publication course, students were tasked with selecting and revising any company’s annual report. This landed me with the Community Action Program Committee (CAPC) of Pensacola, Florida, a nonprofit organization aiming to aid those in their community impacted by poverty.
While the original report stood out as an opportunity for editorial improvement, I noticed two mistakes: an inconsistent type hierarchy, and a footer which was never fully changed over to the new year from the previous one. In Adobe Illustrator, a new brand identity for CAPC was created using colors that evoke feelings of trust and friendship, with a logo that depicted community. Then in InDesign, I constructed a new square-shaped layout for the report. Revision highlights include colored tabs which clearly organize sections, as well as infographics and charts to pique visual interest.
