Blue Birch Provisions is a Rhode Island local company dedicated to providing quality nutritional meals at home without harsh chemicals. Co-founders Patricia and Robert came to the design team I was a member of for a frozen meal package design and a website. After giving their brand a refresh to enhance scalability and visual appeal, our team of three split the work: my colleague and I designed the packaging while our third teammate built the website in WordPress, working collaboratively throughout the process to ensure cohesion between web and print.
Patricia and Robert decided that they wanted to convey “premium” product values. Their primary logo was shortened to just Blue Birch, and beige became the main background color in order to make their primary blue stand out. We came up with an original box design resembling a trapezoid that could still stand flat when displayed in the frozen food aisle. The result was a dynamic website and functional packaging collectively united by a stronger brand.
